Mike's Story

 

I have worked several years in the shipping and receiving department for an office supply company. I injured my back working to keep up with loading and unloading pallets of office supplies in the warehouse. I know that my job requires a great deal of lifting and stacking heavy boxes. With my back injury, I realize that I can't go back to my former duties, and I know that they have tried to lighten my load. It is hard for me to even do those duties, but I am sure that something could be worked out so that I could keep a job with the company. Instead they just let me go. I feel that my boss, John, terminated me unfairly just to get rid of me.
