Outreach Messages


About Outreach Notifications
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Outreach Groups send non-emergency informational messages related to specific topics (e.g., IT outages, student business services, departmental updates).
Participation is completely voluntary. You must explicitly opt in to receive SMS/text messages for each Outreach Group.
Consent to receive SMS/text messages is not a condition of any service or enrollment.
Updates to your subscription preferences may take up to 24 hours to take effect.

SMS/Text Messaging Terms & Compliance Notice
By opting in to receive SMS/text notifications, you agree to receive recurring informational text messages from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) departments regarding the Outreach Groups you select.
You may opt out of a specific Outreach Group at any time by replying STOP to a message from that group or by updating your notification preferences in your profile.
After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from that group unless you opt in again.

How to Subscribe to Outreach Messaging
  1. Log in to HSC Profiles at https://app4.ttuhsc.edu/hscprofile
  2. Review your Notification Methods and confirm your preferred contact methods (e.g., Email, SMS/Text).
  3. Select your preferred contact method(s).
  4. Choose the Outreach Group(s) you wish to receive notifications from.
  5. Click Finish to save your selections.
Only users who explicitly select SMS/Text as a notification method and subscribe to a group will receive text messages.
If you do not subscribe to a group, you will not receive its notifications.

What to Expect
Subscribers will receive informational, non-marketing messages related only to the Outreach Groups they select.
These messages may include service updates, outage notifications, administrative reminders, or other relevant departmental communications.

"TTUHSC IT Services: There is a major outage affecting the email system. We are working to resolve the issue. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
