What if I have questions about the status of my documents?

If you have checked on the status of your documents on the web through Merlin and you have questions, please direct your questions to the Admissions Evaluator for the School you are applying to, in the Registrar’s Office at (806) 743-2300. You can also send an email to the appropriate Admissions Evaluator by clicking on the links below:


I attended a college or university outside of the United States, what do I need to do with my transcripts?

How can I change the semester or program I selected?

Applicants can only be admitted to the semester and the program selected on the on-line application in Merlin. To change your semester or program, complete a new on-line application in Merlin.


Is the graduate interdisciplinary program (GIDS) offered to international applicants?

The non-degree GIDS program does not support visa requirements for applicants.


Will you accept a notarized copy of my international transcript evaluation?

Only if the evaluation comes directly from a college or university's registrar or admissions office and states on the document it is an exact copy of an official record on file.


How do I receive a research assistantship?

Research Assistantships are available in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences only. Awarding of a research assistantship is a department decision and depends on availability of funds. For more information, contact GSBS at (806) 743-2556.

I am having trouble opening/viewing the PDF forms on the application, what are my options?

Generally, this problem is caused by the cache filling up in Internet Explorer; please follow the instruction below to correct this problem.

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click Tools - Internet Options
  • Under the General tab select cookies
  • Once that is done, select delete files (Also check the box delete all offline content when it asks you).

I forgot my Merlin username, what do I do?

Please click here and you will be taken to a page that will aid you in retrieving your Merlin username. You will be asked to supply the email address and answer the security question you set up when you created your Merlin username. If the email address and answer to the security question match what we have on file for you, then you will be sent an email containing your Merlin username.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a currently affiliated with Texas Tech and used your eRaider username to login to Merlin, then you will continue to login to Merlin with your eRaider username. If you have forgotten your eRaider username, you must retrieve it at https://eraider.ttuhsc.edu.


I forgot my Merlin password, what do I do?

Please click here and you will be taken to a page that will aid you in resetting your Merlin password. You will be asked to supply your Merlin username and answer the security question you set up when you created your Merlin username. If the Merlin username and answer to the security question match what we have on file for you, then you will be sent an email containing a temporary password. You will use this temporary password to login. Once you login to Merlin with the temporary password, you will be asked to change your password. The email containing your temporary password will be sent to the email address you supplied when you created your Merlin username.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a currently affiliated with Texas Tech and used your eRaider username to login to Merlin, then you will need to continue to login to Merlin with your eRaider username. If you have forgotten your eRaider password, you must reset it at https://eraider.ttuhsc.edu.
