The World Health Organization describes IPE and its relationship to collaborative practice as the result of when "students from two or more professions learn about, from, and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes. Interprofessional education is a necessary step in preparing a 'collaborative practice-ready' health workforce that is better prepared to respond to local health needs" (World Health Organization, 2010).

The Office of Interprofessional Education hosts several events and activities throughout the year providing students an opportunity to collaborate across health professions to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while building mutual respect for one another’s knowledge, values, and ethics.

Listed below are upcoming interprofessional education events and activities open for registration. For more information, contact the IPE Office at (806) 743-2028, or email ipe@ttuhsc.edu
